Clouds and rain return for Wednesday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — It was just a sublime start to the work week, but our weather will be going downhill a bit in the coming days.

Wednesday will be a mostly cloudy day with highs in the 60s.

Showers will begin moving up from the south during the afternoon, and the rain is expected to last right through Thursday.

Sunshine returns on Friday, as do warmer temperatures with highs near 70.

Right now the weekend looks drier than not, but we will at least have ample cloud cover and once again cooler weather.
