Body recovered from the Pawtuxet River in Cranston

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — A body was recovered from the Pawtuxet River in Cranston on Tuesday after it was discovered by a kayaker around 5 p.m.

The Cranston Police Department confirmed that the body of a male was pulled from the river near Mill Street on Tuesday evening.

Officials said the matter is still under investigation and did not release any more information.
