Providence Police investigating possible shooting near Crossroads

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said it is investigating a possible shooting after a man entered Crossroads Rhode Island with an “alleged gunshot wound behind the ear” Wednesday.

The department said the man was alert and transported to Rhode Island Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Police are investigating the incident and are waiting for confirmation on the cause of the injury.
