PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Attorney General Peter Neronha said an Arizona woman who was charged with the murder of a woman whose body was found in the Woonasquatucket River has also been charged with stabbing a man while attempting to rob him at a Providence bus terminal.

35-year-old Dusti Turner was charged with one count of assault with intent to rob, one count of assault resulting in serious bodily injury, and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery.

Turner is accused of stabbing a man at the intersection of Dorrance Street and Weybosset Street on Dec. 15, 2023.

Police took the victim to Rhode Island Hospital with an injury to the leg.

Detectives then obtained video surveillance from the bus terminal and the 7-Eleven across the street, which allegedly showed Turner following the victim before pulling the his coat from behind, punching and kicking him, and then fleeing.

Police interviewed the victim in February, where he told them that he did not know the defendant’s name but that they lived together at a residence on Dexter Street before he moved out. He then allegedly positively identified Turner in a photo lineup.
