Deadline to apply for FEMA disaster assistance is today

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The deadline to apply for FEMA disaster assistance is by the end of the day today.

You can submit applications by 11:59 p.m.

Around $15 million dollars was approved by FEMA, after winter storms hit the state back in December and January of this year.

Assistance from FEMA will cover everything from home repairs, rental assistance, and replacement of personal property.

If you were impacted by the storms and are located in Providence, Kent, or Washington County, you can apply here.

The deadline to file tax returns and make payments for taxpayers in these storm impacted areas has been moved to July 15.
