NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Transportation Authority will offer free service starting this Friday in Newport.

Anyone can hop-on buses on Routes 67 and 68 to First Beach, CCRI Newport, and the Bellevue Avenue Historic District.

RIPTA said the free service is aimed at making it easier to get around the city during the tourism season, and will run through the end of October.
