Home invasion, shooting in Providence leaves three injured

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Three people are injured today following a home invasion in Providence Wednesday night.
According to the Providence Police Department, it happened just before 11 p.m. when five masked suspects kicked in the bedroom doors of two individuals living at the home on Indiana Avenue.
Police said several of the suspects were heard yelling “Where’s the money?” as they entered the home.
One of the victims reported to police that he was pistol whipped in the head multiple times and jumped out of the second floor window.
Another victim was reportedly shot in the chest.
Multiple shots were fired during the incident, according to police.
It is unclear at this time the condition of the victims.
Providence police are continuing to investigate.
