RIPTA to run holiday schedule in observance of Memorial Day

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) plans to run a Sunday/Holiday service schedule on Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day.

This schedule will apply to all regular fixed-route buses and trolleys.

RIPTA’s office swill be closed Memorial Day with the exception of the customer service kiosk in the Newport Transportation Center.

Flex service will not be available on Memorial Day, except for Route 203 (URI/Narragansett/South Kingstown), which will run on the Sunday schedule from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Flex Service reservation line will not be staffed on Memorial Day.

The statewide RIde program will operate on a holiday schedule on Monday, May 27 and the RIde reservation line will not be staffed.
