Person stabbed in the head in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said a person was stabbed in the head on Friday.

The victim was a 55-year-old man who suffered minor wounds to the back of the head and the left arm.

The stabbing occurred around 6 p.m. on Broad Street and Portland Street, and the suspect fled the scene.

The victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.

Police are still investigating.
