ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — An Attleboro man accused of killing his brother over their deceased father’s truck will be held without a bail until a dangerousness hearing on May 31.

51-year-old James McCormick was arrested yesterday for allegedly killing his brother during a domestic disturbance.

He appeared in court today on numerous charges including assault with intent to murder.

Prosecutors confirmed Tuesday that an altercation occurred between McCormick and his now deceased brother Monday morning, who had just come back from California.

McCormick’s brother Richard would reported to be found by Attleboro Police with 8-10 stab wounds outside between two homes on Melissa Drive.

Charges are expected to increase following an autopsy.

McCormick’s defense is claiming that he defended himself.
