PLYMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) — A man charged in stabbing incidents in Braintree and Plymouth has been sent for a further mental health evaluation.

The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office said a court clinician recommended that 26-year-old Jared Ravizza, who was also tabbed in connection with a Connecticut murder, be evaluated for competency and criminal responsibility.

Officials said Ravizza will be held without bail at Bridgewater State Hospital and evaluated over the next 20 days.

Ravizza is charged with stabbing four girls at a movie theatre in Braintree on Saturday before stabbing two employees at a McDonald’s in Plymouth.

All six victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.

The Connecticut State Police Department announced Tuesday morning that Ravizza had been identified as one of the suspects in a homicide in Deep River on Saturday.

Troopers responded to a disturbance at a residence located on Maritone Lane in Deep River, where they found an injured man who was pronounced dead on-scene.

Connecticut state police said personal items belonging to Ravizza were found and witnesses gave a description consistent with that of Ravizza.

The Massachusetts State Police Department advised Connecticut police that Ravizza was taken into custody in Sandwich in connection with crimes alleged in Braintree and Plymouth.

Ravizza faces a variety of charges, including armed assault with intent to murder, two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and one count of indecent exposure.

Officials said his charges in the Connecticut incident were pending as of Tuesday morning.
