Thursday clunker precedes an amazing beginning to June
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — It was a lovely day Wednesday, but rain is on the way for Thursday.
An area of low pressure is currently spinning showers and thunderstorms across parts of the greater NYC area and will arrive here in Southern New England after midnight.
Showers could be heavy tomorrow morning, gradually lightening up into the afternoon. Skies could even clear by evening. Rain totals will generally be .5-1″ with higher amounts north of the area.
It will also be cool Thursday, with highs only 60-65 as winds come out of the north. But the 70s – and sunshine – return Friday, a fine final day of May.
The first weekend of June will be spectacular, with full sunshine and highs in the upper 70s to near 80. That trend continues right into next week.
