60-year-old struck while walking in East Providence

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The East Providence Police Department said a 60-year-old man suffered injuries after being hit by a car.

The man was hit while walking on Newport Avenue the night of May 31.

The department said that he suffered lacerations to his face as well as injuries to his lower extremities.

Police added that the driver of the car immediately pulled over and cooperated with the investigation.
