19 displaced by Providence double-house fire

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — 19 people were displaced by a fire that spread to two Providence homes on Sunday.
The Red Cross said it was helping nine families, 14 adults and five children, after the blaze on Indiana Avenue.
Greg McGee of the Providence Fire Department said the fire started around 3:45 p.m. on a boat parked by the homes.
McGee said that a person told crews they were working on the boat when it caught fire.
One person was taken to the hospital but is believed to be in stable condition, per McGee.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
