Man accused of killing brother in Attleboro held without bail

ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — A man accused of stabbing and killing his brother in Attleboro was held without bail after being arraigned on a murder charge on Monday.
The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office said 51-year-old James McCormick was arrested following an incident on Melissa Drive resulting in the death of 47-year-old Richard McCormick.
McCormick was set to be arraigned Friday on an upgraded murder charge, which was postponed for health reasons.
Attleboro police responded to the scene of two homes around 3:25 a.m. on Memorial Day for a reported disturbance.
Officers found Richard McCormick suffering from stab wounds and took him to Sturdy Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the case.
