The Breakers to show third floor to the public

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — The Breakers, the historic mansion located in Newport, announced it will be showing the third floor to the public for the first time.

For the first time in the 129-year history of the home, the third floor preservation progress tour will start this month, and will be offered daily at 3:30 p.m.

The third floor tour is a limited, guide-led experience of private bedrooms, bathrooms, and recreational spaces used by the Vanderbilt family and household staff for more than a century.
