Truck crashes into awning of Pawtucket medical building

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — A truck crashed into the awning of a building in Pawtucket on Tuesday.

The Pawtucket Police said the crash happened around 10:30 a.m. on School Street, where multiple medical offices are located.

Officials said the truck was making a delivery at the rear entrance to the Blackstone Valley Medical Building when it hit the overhead awning.

The awning collapsed, coming to a rest on top of the truck.

Authorities said no one was injured and the city building inspector was called, adding that the truck would remain on-scene until the awning was removed.
