Former Barrington pediatrician sentenced to 15 years for molestation

BARRINGTON, R.I. (WLNE) — A former Barrington pediatrician was sentenced to prison Tuesday on child molestation charges.

Court documents show that 52-year-old David Healey received a 15-year prison sentence after a several-month investigation led to his arrest back in January.

One of Healey’s patients reported the sexual assault to their parents, who reported the case to police last year.

The Barrington Police Department investigated the case for nearly three months before arresting Healey on January 20.

Healey also surrendered his license to practice medicine before his sentencing.
