UPDATE: Fall River Police say Tuesday night shooting does not appear to be random

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Fall River Police have said that a preliminary investigation from last night’s shooting suggests that the incident was not random.
Officers received a call around 10 p.m. last night indicating that a man had been shot in the shoulder.
When the call came in, the victim was his way to the hospital.
Police said the injuries were non-life-threatening.
According to Chief Moses Pereira, the individual who was injured was cooperative, and appeared to have arranged a meeting with an unknown party before the incident.
The shooting is still under investigation.
