Newborn Tamandua welcomed at Roger Williams Park Zoo
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Roger Williams Park Zoo announced the recent birth of a male southern tamandua pup.
The tamandua, named Gustavo, was born on May 3 to parents Carina and Salvador.
He’s native to South America, from the island of Trinidad and the Caribbean.
According to the zoo, both mom and baby are doing well.
Gustavo came in weighing about 2 pounds.
