McKee to swear in Rhode Island’s Associate Judge

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Today, Governor Dan McKee is set to swear in Rhode Island’s newest associate judge.

Kas Decarvalho will fill the seat left vacant after McKee appointed Judge Christopher Smith to the Superior Court in February of last year.

In an April release announcing his nomination, McKee cited Decarvalho for his “deep commitment to the law and to the community.”

The ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m. at the Rhode Island State House.
