Police investigating report of shots fired in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Police responded to a call of shots fired in Providence on Tuesday.

Providence Police Chief Oscar Perez said a subject “apparently” shot at a vehicle at an intersection in the area of James Ahern Park.

Perez said multiple units were called to the scene, adding that police did not locate any victims.

Officials said detectives were actively investigating the incident.
