MassDOT schedules sweepings for multiple bridges

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said that it will be sweeping debris along the curbs of bridges in Fall River, Somerset, New Bedford, and Fairhaven next week.

Sweeping on the Braga Bridge, along the curbs on the Veterans Memorial Bridge, and debris removal on the right lane curbs of the New Bedford-Fairhaven Swing Bridge will all occur on Tuesday, June 18 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning.

MassDOT said traffic will be controlled by state police controlled rolling roadblocks.

Drivers traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
