Providence police announce major gun, drug seizure

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence police made an arrest including a large seizure of guns and drugs Friday.
53-year-old Kelvin Feliz, 44-year-old Eric Bicknell, and 25-year-old Anthony Chum were all arrested for narcotics and firearm-related charges, while 25-year-old Malick Santos was arrested for an armed robbery on South Water Street.
Providence Mayor Brett Smiley and Providence Police Chief Colonel Oscar Perez were in attendance for the announcement.
They said that police seized five kilos of fentanyl and cocaine, two firearms, three high capacity magazines, and $11,000 in cash from Feliz’s apartment, 70 grams of cocaine as well as a gun and cash at Bicknell’s home, and three loaded firearms, magazines, MDMA and Adderall pills, cash, and 125 grams of cocaine at Chum’s apartment.
“The success isn’t just about the numbers, it’s about the tangible impact that it will have on the community, it’s about ensuring that our neighborhoods are safer and that our public spaces are more secure, these operations are a reminder that we can work together stay vigilant,” Smiley said.
