Fall River Gun Violence Task Force makes five arrests this week

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The recently activated Gun Violence Task Force of the Fall River Police Department made five arrests and several gun seizures this past week.

Working with the Vice Intelligence and Gan unit, the following arrests were made:

June 11, 2024

16-year-old Juvenile, charged with:

  • Carry firearm without license to carry
  • Possession of a large capacity firearm
  • Carrying a loaded firearm in public without a license to carry

Brett Swiader, 20, charged with:

  • Carry firearm without license to carry
  • Possession of a large capacity firearm
  • Carrying a loaded firearm in public without a license to carry

June 13, 2024

16-year-old Juvenile, charged with:

  • Trespass
  • Department of Youth Services Warrant
  • Carry firearm without license to carry
  • Possession of a large capacity firearm
  • Carrying a loaded firearm in public without a license to carry

17-year-old Juvenile, charged with:

  • Trespass
  • Carry firearm without license to carry
  • Possession of a large capacity firearm
  • Carrying a loaded firearm in public without a license to carry
