9-year-old brought to hospital after being struck by car

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Woonsocket Police Department said a 9-year-old was brought to Hasbro Children’s Hospital after being struck by a car on June 15.

The incident occurred around 5 p.m. when the child was riding a bike.

Police said the victim may have suffered a broken leg.

The driver of the car stayed on scene and remained cooperative.
