Plane makes emergency landing on Cape Cod beach

EASTHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — A plane had to make an emergency landing on a Cape Cod beach on Sunday.

A single-engine Cessna 172 reported an engine failure before touching down on Coast Guard Beach in Eastham around 3:45 p.m.

Three people were on board the flight when it safely landed, according to a spokesperson from the FAA.
