Gas prices drop in Rhode Island
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island gas prices dropped another three cents last week, continuing a downward trend in the cost of fuel.
The average gas price in Rhode Island stood at $3.41 per gallon, 16 cents lower than a month ago, and nine cents lower than this time last year.
Inventory has gone up 2.6 million barrels nationally, and 1.7 million barrels in the northeast, according to the Energy Information Administration.
Meanwhile, demand went up one percent, falling behind the demand from a this time last year and 2022.
