Providence man arrested on human trafficking charges

MILFORD, MA (WLNE) – A Providence man was arrested by Milford Police Monday on human trafficking charges.
Milford Police said Officers observed a man acting suspiciously in a van around 10:05 p.m. Monday night at the intersection of Winter Street and Granite Street. Police said they had previously observed the same man with a female subject earlier in the night at multiple locations.
According to Police, the officers stopped the vehicle and conducted an inquiry of the man and woman present. The inquiry revealed that the male subject, identified as Michael Quinones, 29, of Providence, had brought the woman from Rhode Island to Milford to engage in prostitution.
Both Quinones and the female subject, identified as Emilie Camacho-Gomez, 29, of La Sierra, Puerto Rico, were arrested by Milford Police.
Quinones was charged with Human Trafficking, Deriving Support from a Prostitute, and Conspiracy to Commit a Crime (Sexual Conduct for a Fee). Camacho-Gomez was charged with Sexual Conduct for a Fee, as well as Conspiracy to Commit a Crime (Sexual Conduct for a Fee).
Police said both are scheduled to be arraigned in Milford District Court.
Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
