The Heat Is ON
The heat and humidity this week peaks today! With high temperatures topping in the low-90s, (fun fact: the record high for today is 93 from 1941) and humidity soaring again, we have the chance of feel-like temperatures closer to 100. A Heat Advisory is still in effect through this evening as a result. We also have an Air Quality Alert in effect for high levels of ground level ozone which will make breathing difficult for those with respiratory issues. The beach is the place to be today as ocean-side temperatures will peak in the lower-80s. Clouds build in tonight and it will remain warm and muggy as lows drop to near 70. Friday will be another warm and humid day, but temperatures are expected to top out in the 80s so no heat advisory is needed. It will still feel close to 90 however Friday afternoon. Friday will have a cold front drop in and touch off showers and the chance of thunderstorms. This unsettled and humid weather sticks around through the weekend into next Monday as well. Sunshine returns Tuesday in full force with a high of 85.
