Suspect of deadly shooting in Westerly at large in Connecticut

WESTERLY, R.I. (WLNE): The suspect of a deadly shooting in Westerly is at large in Connecticut, according to Westerly Police Chief Shawn Lacey. 

One person is dead after a shooting on Marriott Avenue on Saturday around 4 p.m., according to Lacey.

Louis M. Seignious, 31, of Norwich shot his cousin Vincent Sebastian, 28,  Ledyard, according to Lacey. 

When officers arrived on scene Sebastian had a single gunshot wound to the chest.

Seignious has a child with a female resident who lives on Marriott Avenue where the shooting took place, according to Lacey. 

Officers began to interview witnesses at the scene, and it was found the suspect had left possibly heading to Connecticut, according to Lacey.

Shortly afterward Mashantucket Police were involved in a vehicle pursuit with the suspect that resulted in him running to a wooded area in Ledyard, Connecticut. 

At this time the suspect remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous.
