DEM asking the public to report turkey sightings

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management is asking the public to report turkey sightings.
According to a release, the sighting reports will be a part of the Wild Turkey Brood Survey.
Biologists from DEM’s Division of Fish and Wildlife are asking residents to submit observations to help aid with research efforts.
DFW uses this information to monitor the turkey population in Rhode Island.
