NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — A herd of elephants are on their way to Newport.

Salve Regina University will be the host of the biggest herd of 52 sculptures of elephants from The Great Elephant Migration, a traveling public art exhibition and global fundraising initiative to inspire humans to share space.

The U.S. Migration is presented by Art&Newport, founded by Salve alumna Dodie Kazanjian ’72, which aims to develop and host a series of city-wide visual arts presentations in Newport.

The presentations can be viewed and accessed through the Newport Cliff Walk.
