Humidity returns Wednesday, followed by storms at night
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A warm front will push into the Northeast tonight, bringing us nothing more than clouds but also shifting the wind to the southwest.
That will allow humidity to creep back in on Wednesday. After a mild night, another near 90° is expected tomorrow – but it will feel hotter than that.
A cold front will approach from the west and could bring a few strong storms into the area. The greatest threat would be damaging straight-line winds.
Storms will clear Thursday morning and clouds will break for sun, and the humidity will steadily decrease throughout the day.
Friday is a gem, with plentiful sun and comfortable conditions. Highs will peak in the upper 70s.
Saturday will be nice but clouds will move in and showers and storms arrive overnight into Sunday, with highs in the 80s and increased humidity.
