Woonsocket announces Independence Day celebration for July 3

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Woonsocket Mayor Christopher Beauchamp announced that the city’s 4th of July celebration would be held on July 3 at WWII Veterans Memorial Park with the event kicking off at 4 p.m.

The event will include music from Wicked 80, an all 80s party and dance band, and will conclude with a fireworks display at 9 p.m.

There will also be multiple food trucks, community organizations and vendor tables on hand.

Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets.

The rain date will be July 5.
