Emergency crews respond to code red fire in Cranston

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Cranston firefighters were on the scene of a house fire just before 4 a.m. this morning.

The fire was initially reported as a code red with a heavy fire coming from a home on Poplar Drive.

Fire crews on scene told ABC 6 news crews that the rain helped out put the fire out.

There were no word on any injuries.
