Fall River police arrest two suspects in Thursday shooting

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Two suspects have been arrested in a Thursday Fall River shooting incident, according to Fall River police.
Roney Morales, 18 and Jayvon Murchison, 18 were arrested in connection with the shooting that occurred in the area of Tremont and Pine Streets at 7:09 p.m. Thursday.
Officers arriving at the scene found four spent shell casings at the intersection of the two streets.
There were no injuries reported as a result of the shooting.
Officers obtained video surveillance that assisted in identifying the suspects and their vehicle.
A collaborative effort between several department groups resulted in locating the suspects at an address with which they are connected.
Morales was charged with carrying a firearm without a license to carry, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, carrying a loaded firearm in public without a license to carry and three counts of armed assault to murder.
Murchison was charged as an accessory after the fact.
Additional charges may follow as police continue their investigation.
