Two men arrested for stealing $100,000 worth of items from Lowe’s

WAREHAM, Mass. (WLNE)- Wareham Police arrested two men on Thursday who had been stealing from a local Lowe’s store.
Oscar Ortiz, 46, and Eric Ramos, 34, were both arrested in connection to nearly $100,000 worth of stolen goods from the store.
Wareham Police began a joint investigation with the Organized Retail Crime Investigation Unit from Lowe’s after receiving a call about potential theft from the store.
They investigated for several days and determined that a man who was cleaning the store over night had been stealing the goods and transporting them to New Bedford.
Police executed three search warrants for properties located at 1407 and 1401 Acushnet Avenue in New Bedford. They found $20,000 worth of stolen items in their search.
All of the items were brought back to the store by police.
The investigation remains active and it is believed that nearly $100,000 worth of goods were stolen from the store in the last several months.
