Two victims shot, car crashes into Woonsocket home

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Police said two men were shot in Woonsocket on Monday evening, resulting in a car crashing into a home.
Woonsocket Police Chief Thomas Oates said the 22-year-old driver of the car suffered serious injuries and was taken to Rhode Island Hospital.
The second 21-year-old victim arrived at Landmark Hospital, according to police.
Oates said Woonsocket police responded to the intersection of Bound Road and Stoneham Drive for a report of a car that had crashed into a home around 5:24 p.m.
Police quickly determined that both shooting victims were related, adding that both were in stable condition as of Monday night.
ABC 6 News crews on-scene said neighbors told them they heard four gunshots before a car crashed into the house.
Crime tape could be seen lining the yard of the home, with a car up against the house.

Oates said the incident is under investigation and there is no apparent threat to the public.
No one else was injured in the incident.
