Humidity arrives for Independence Day and weekend
America’s birthday marks the start of a muggier trend across Southern New England. Winds from the south/southwest will bring in more humid air along with a few more clouds Thursday.
With the added cloud cover and PM sea breeze, highs will top out in the low 80s inland and mid 70s at the shore.
A daytime sprinkle can’t be ruled out but outside of that it is a pretty decent day. Firework weather will be dry but there will be some downpours that move in late at night into Friday morning.
That cold front will move out and clouds will part for sun on Friday, bringing things a touch warmer. Another weak front will move through early Saturday with a few showers and storms.
Sunday looks drier and much warmer, with highs approaching 90. Combined with the humidity, it will feel like the low 90s right into next week.
Happy Fourth all!
