Police arrest man after fight at Narragansett Town Beach

NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WLNE) — The Narragansett Police Department said that a man was arrested after a fight at Narragansett Town Beach on July 3.

18-year-old Joshua Adams, of North Kingstown, was charged with carrying a weapon while under the influence and disorderly conduct.

Police said they were patrolling the beach around 9:30 p.m. when an argument between a group of teenagers escalated into a fight.

A witness told police that one person that fled waved a gun.

The department said that Adams was detained after a “brief foot chase” and found a replica BB gun on his person.
