Man shot in the leg on Chad Brown Street in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence Police said a 19-year-old male was shot in the leg this morning on Chad Brown Street.

According to officials, officers responded to the scene to learn that the individual was sitting in his vehicle when it happened.

Providence officials said the individual is currently being treated with the serious injury at Rhode Island Hospital.

He has not been identified.

The Providence Detective Bureau is currently investigating the incident.
