A Hot & Humid Week Ahead

We are going to remain in a rather tropical air mass throughout the entire upcoming week! A heat advisory will be in effect for northern RI from Noon Monday through 8PM Tuesday.

Expect another warm muggy night tonight with some dense fog forming in southern RI and southeast MA. Lows tonight only in the low 70s. Monday through Tuesday look primarily dry, but since clouds will be on the increase later Tuesday we could see an evening shower develop. Highs will be in the upper 80s and low 90s along with dewpoints in the low to mid 70s that’ll make it feel about 5 degrees even hotter. The best spots to be for some relief will be along the coast where highs will be in the low 80s.

The greatest likelihood of any showers or thundershowers happening will be Wednesday through Friday and that will also help to bring down the high temperatures a bit. Keep in mind that any showers or storms that do materialize can produce brief heavy downpours that can result in localized street flooding if you are caught under them. In the meantime, make sure you stay hydrated and take it easy on these hot, humid days!
