PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Warwick man pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Providence to three counts of false statements during purchase of a firearm according to United States Attorney Zachary A. Cunha.

Keith Greene, 27, is accused of purchasing three firearms from a federally licensed dealer, asserting on forms that he was the actual buyer.

Greene then transferred the firearms to his employer who is prohibited from possessing them.

Greene purchased the firearms between January 30 and February 21, 2023, and during each purchase Greene stated on ATF forms that he was the actual transferee/purchaser of the firearms.

East Providence Police Department officers recovered the three firearms in possession of the employer during an unrelated investigation in December of 2023.

A document was also seized signed by both Greene and the employer acknowledging the transfer of one of the firearms.
