Missing 4-year-old Sutton girl found in neighbors pool, pronounced dead

SUTTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The Sutton Police Department announced today that they are no longer looking for an autistic 4-year-old girl who went missing on Thursday afternoon, July 11.
The little girl named Eva was found in a neighbor’s pool, and was pronounced deceased at a nearby hospital, according to officials.
“The past 12 hours have been incredibly difficult for one of our families in town and our team of first responders,” wrote Sutton Police in a Facebook post.
“There are no words that we can offer to help ease the heartache..” they continued.
Eva was reported missing Thursday from Peachtree Drive in Sutton.
There was a heavy police and fire presence in the area as officials searched for the little girl.
A short time later she was found in the pool unresponsive.
Emergency personnel transported her to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester where she died.
Police said they will not be speaking to the press, nor doing any on camera interviews out of respect for the family in town.
