Three rare lobsters crawl into buy station of local business
PORTLAND, Maine. (WLNE) — A local lobster joint in Maine shared on social media that three rare lobsters crawled into their buy station at the same time.
“What are the odds of all three of these colorful characters crawling into our buy station?! We are feeling extremely lucky to have all three of these rare beauties with us at our buy station in Portland, Maine,” Luke’s Lobster, based out of Portland Maine wrote in a post on Facebook.
Blue, calico, and split color lobsters are reported to be rare, with a 1-in-2 million to a whopping 1-in-30 million chance of ever catching or seeing them, according to Luke’s Lobster.
The business said they won’t be eating them, but are going to keep them safe and sound until they can safely be released back into the wild.
