MassDOT to perform maintenance on multiple bridges in coming days

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said it will be performing overnight maintenance and debris removal on three bridges in the coming days.

Sweeping on the Braga Bridge and its exit ramps will occur from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. from July 14 to July 17.

Work on the Veterans Memorial Bridge in Fall River and the New-Bedford Fairhaven Swing Bridge, meanwhile, will occur on the night on July 16 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.

MassDOT said that traffic during the work will be managed by Massachusetts State Police-controlled rolling road blocks.

Drivers in the area should use caution and expect delays.
