The Heat Is ON!

The second half of the weekend is looking sunny but much hotter. Sunday’s highs will range from 90 inland to 82 along the beaches. The humidity will be a little lower, but not quite enough to see relief. Sunday starts off a potential heatwave as temperatures will likely meet or top 90 through Wednesday. The humidity will climb each day and the feel like temperatures will soar. as a result, A HEAT ADVISORY has been issued for Monday for heat index temperatures of 95-104 and an EXCESSIVE HEAR WATCH has been issued for Tuesday because it will feel even hotter. Since the risk of heat-related illness is high, and even greater for the elderly and children, you are advised to seek air-conditioned relief, stay hydrated and don’t forget your pets. The heat breaks with a chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday night into Thursday. After the cold front clears, temperatures and humidity become seasonable and pleasant and Friday and Saturday are looking to be a pair of lovely days.
