New Bedford Firefighters respond to accidental fire
NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — Emergency responders were on scene in New Bedford yesterday for a reported structure fire.
According to a Facebook post, the New Bedford Fire Department responded to a report of smoke showing from the north side of the building on 104 County Street.
On arrival, a room and contents fire was discovered in a 4th floor bedroom of the apartment.
The fire was quickly extinguished, with no extension into the attic space above the bedroom.
According to officials, there was also no injuries reported at the scene.
The fire was investigated, and the cause was found to be accidental.
