Smithfield police respond to fatal motorcycle crash

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WLNE) — Smithfield police and fire personnel responded to the area of 416 Farnum Pike for a reported single motorcycle crash on Tuesday morning at approximately 6:59 a.m.

According to Smithfield police, the operator of the motorcycle was pronounced dead on the scene and was identified as 37-year-old Roland Beauvais of Woonsocket.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
